The SuperCharger Accelerator is the first program dedicated to both start-ups and more established global FinTech companies aiming to capture the Asian growth market. The program leverages on Hong Kong's traditional strength as Asia's finance and technology gateway.

The SuperCharger has 3 strategic founding sponsors. Standard Chartered, a leading international banking group and one of the Hong Kong’s three note-issuing banks. Baidu, China’s leading internet search engine, will make available its API platform to connect FinTech providers and developers. TusPark Global Network (TGN), originated from Tsinghua University, brings with it over 20 years of expertise in operating technology parks and accelerator programs.

Starting January 11, 2016: A curriculum for success
The SuperCharger has designed a structured curriculum to create success. The accelerator will assist with company building, mentorship and advice in areas such as market entry, regulatory obligations and joint ventures opportunities. The program itself coincides during the peak time of financial and start-up activity. Within the first 3 weeks of the program, teams will be exposed to the Asian Financial Forum and the Invest HK Startme-Up week, providing a great opportunity for companies to get plugged into the global eco-system and engage with world class decision makers.

How will the participating companies be selected? What is the criteria?
Once the competition is closed November 20, the SuperCharger team will review each of the applications and select who we think have high potential for a interview. After the interview stage is completed, we will review and select the final 8 companies.
If I'm accepted, what would you like in return?
For early stage start-ups, we will give you $30,000 in return for 5% of the equity.
For established start-ups, we provide for a fee starting US$ 20,000:
Do I need to be based in Hong Kong to apply?
No. In fact, we are looking to select companies from all over the world so that any incoming company can benefit from the cross pollination of ideas and best practice. However, if you get selected, we expect you (not the whole team) to relocate to Hong Kong for the duration of the program.
Can you help me with visa and immigration issues?
Yes. We will help successful applicants with the visa process. While we do not provide housing, we will assist you by connecting you with discounts and resources to find the right accommodations.
Do you sign an NDA?
No, we do not sign an NDA. No VC companies will sign an NDA, but rest assured we will treat your information with the utmost discretion.
What are you looking for?
We are looking for brains! We are looking for smart people who have an idea and the hunger to create a viable business. We're looking for people well-honed in their industry to create a well-balanced team with a full range of skills.
What happens after the 12-week program?
After the three-month program, if you decide to stay in Hong Kong -- which is an awesome place to live -- we have a floor in the same building as the program where you can rent working space at a discounted rate. Even if you are no longer in Hong Kong, the Supercharger will continue to provide advice and support through its advisors and mentors.
