Entersoft is one of the eight companies in the SuperCharger 2.0 cohort. It is an application security provider based in Australia that integrates offensive assessment, proactive monitoring and managed security to provide cost-effective and reliable solutions. Celine, working on their business development team, reviewed the first week of SuperCharger 2.0 and we share it here.
Supercharger, what a great way to begin our acceleration! Being part of Supercharger can fuel Entersoft to fulfill the mission to be the best in application security. Entersoft is well-positioned to meet this goal by being 1 out of the top 8 startups selected to be part of the Supercharger accelerator program.
Packed with world-class mentorship and backed by some of the biggest brand names in the Financial Services like Standard Chartered and Fidelity International, it is indeed a privilege to be selected into Supercharger.
Supercharger was kicked-off by Janos Barberis, Founder and CEO of Supercharger and Veronika, MD of Supercharger who gave a very good overview on the HK Fintech Landscape; They explained how the program leverages on Hong Kong’s traditional strength as Asia’s finance and technology gateway. Also, great set of goodies and a place to run Entersoft operations in Hongkong for 3 months.
In addition to the good high-level overview, we went through tailored scale-up advisory sessions by Tyler Aveni who will be advising us on our scale up process.
We ended day 1 with the Supercharger Launch Event where we were given the chance to pitch our value proposition to potential partners and foster stronger friendships with the other startups selected into Supercharger: Bambu, FinChat, Clare.ai, Foris, KYC chain, XNotes and Squirro. The launch event has provided Entersoft an opportunity to interact with FinTech leaders in HongKong.
On Day 2, we had some key takeaways from the Supercharger 1.0 Alumni during the Lunch & learn session. Panellists David Rosa from NEAT, Philippe El-Asmar from Amareos, Mao Foo and Pramodh Rai from Funding Societies all provided genuine insights on how Supercharger has helped them achieve their start-up goals in the past year. Day 2 has helped us interact with Amazon web services team. AWS team has interacted with all the startups for over 3 hours and helped startups understand AWS scalability. AWS $10000 credits have been provided to all startups in FinTech supercharger.
Entersoft team had an opportunity to interact with Fidelity International on Day 2 and Fidelity team has been very proactive in supporting a startup like us to scale up to work with Billion $ Enterprises. Sam Coco has been very proactive in grooming the startups and Entersoft values Fidelity’s involvement in Supercharger.
Day 3 helped us understand Hong Kong and its investment landscape. Charles Dhaussy’s session has great insights about HKInvest. ASTRI/HKMA seem to be great initiatives for Cyber Security startups.
Day 4 was primarily about raising money and how to pitch to VCs. Peace from Arbor ventures have taken the startups through the best practices to raise money for startups. One on one with VCs have helped Entersoft to perfect the VC pitch. They helped us by providing us with directions on our presentation style for the BIG Demo day.
Throughout the week, we attended workshops which helped us fine tune our business value proposition and provided validation on our technical expertise. Being a startup isn’t just about hustling with brute force, but about strengthening the way we can service our clients in a way that delivers superior value.
Last but not the least, we ended the first week of Supercharger with a visit to the headquarters of Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong. Dipen Mehta from SCB provided us with information that enables startups to work with SCB. Most valuable for Entersoft has been the discussions and brainstorming with David Shu. We received great suggestions from David. David flew all the way from Singapore for a day’s session with Entersoft and we are thankful to Supercharger and SCB for their efforts in accelerating startups. All startups presented their offerings to SCB team. It’s a great opportunity to pitch to the banks and we had a networking session to interact with key people in SCB. Thank you SCB!
With a daypacked full of activities, including a session with the LUX Finance Minister, we formed valuable networks and partnerships with all the program sponsors that we believe will be invaluable to our growth.
What an amazing week 1 indeed, we are excited to be here and psyched about the activities to come.
